 We are currently reading our second novel, The Great Gilly Hopkins, by Katherine Patterson. After each chapter the students must write a "juicy" main idea sentence on their storyboard and complete their vocabulary chart in their spiral. Talk to your child about the novel, and find out their favorite parts and how they feel about the characters; it's a wonderful story!
