Ingredients: 2 Cloves Garlic. 1.5 cm (~1/2 in) Fresh Ginger -- sliced 2 tbsp Tamarind Paste -- soaked in 2 tbsp of water dispersed and strained through a sieve or cloth. 1 tbsp Honey 1 tbsp Sugar 1 tbsp Soy Sauce 2 tsp Fish Sauce 1/2 tsp Salt 1 tsp Paprika 1/2 tsp Crushed Red Pepper. If the sauce is too runny then boiling it to reduce will solve the issue. Directions: Crush the garlic and ginger in a food processor or with pestle and mortar. Add the other ingredients and process to a smooth sauce. Serve with any type of ฺฺBurmese food, especially fried vegetables.Certainly experiment with this sauce with other cuisines. If the sauce has been boiled this will be stable for a couple of days refrigerated. If not boiled, discard after use. |
