Letter from the Principal

    It is with great pleasure that we take this opportunity to welcome you to Harney Elementary School. We are extremely proud to be a part of your child (ren)'s life and we encourage you to invest in this educational experience by voluteerning and spending some time with us. Our "Commitment to Excellence" is our promise to you and our expectation of every student.

    The Recovery School District's vision is to provide all students with opportunities to excel in an accademically rich environment. We will strive to accomplish this learning objective. In an effort to achieve success, we have assembled an excellent support staff and instituted new initiatives in order to ensure student's success. The school will be staffed with two small learning community leaders to work with teachers and students in the classrooms and to provide on-going professional development. In addition the Reading Interventionists will provide support to "at risk" students to promote their academic development.

    We look forward to this school year with great excitement and hope all of our students will have a rewarding and successful social, academic, and positive experience at Harney Elementary School.
