Table Eden Project

        In two ways, Eden Project has been adapted to different kinds of board games. Firstly as a Card Game, and consequently as a combination of the Card and Computer game, Eden Project Battlefield was made.

Here you will be able to know a little bit more about Eden Project – Card Game and Eden Project Battlefield, a board RPG.

        As a first adaptation of Eden Project as a board game, Eden Project – Card Game was born. The card game includes most of the monsters which the player fights against in Eden Project, magic spells, Elements as well as Heroes and Bosses.

 It can be played in many game modes, ranging from 2 player VS mode up to 4 simultaneous players and it is possible to play quick matches or normal matches.

Basically, you can adapt the game to your comfort and time availability.

Each mode possesses its objectives and side objectives, depending on the strategy you would like to apply.

The main objective is to dominate as many board positions as you can once the board is full and one of the most common side objective is to enhance the power of your hand with the cards you win througout the game.

The game is based in pure strategy, as each monster possesses weaknesses and resistances to different kind of elements and the player is able to “elementalizethe board, issue that makes it even more interesting.

In this way, players will have to plan and execute strategies based on where or how to place their cards in order to dominate most of the board.

The basic game components are: 1 game manual, 2 boards, 192 cards (Plastified), 70 swords and 5 dice.

        As a second adaptation, Eden Project – Battlefield was born from the combination of Eden Project and Eden Project – Card Game.

The game can be played by 4 players simultaneously and does not have a plot like Eden Project, but the plot is to be developed as the game goes on. There is no such thing as a “Master” making up the story. Every player plays an active part in the story which evolves by itself.

Basically, each player will have a main quest, but to achieve it it will have to achieve sidequests such as transporting monsters, find special items or negociate.

Each player will be on possession of a Hero at the beggining, but it is possible to gather a personal army of any group of monsters.

Eden Project Battlefield’s gameplay is almost the same as Eden Project: The player will obtain experience every time a battle is won, will level up, learn new spells and skills depending on the hero and will have to explore the world in order to complete quests.

You can either play cooperatively with other players but it is also allowed to form alliances or rivalties with other players, which not only enables the classic “map monster battling” but can enable an army battle between two or more players.

Given the lifespan of a single match, which can be extended by agreement by the players up to whatever time limit they would like to set (hours, days, months, etc), you can save your game the same way as you do on Eden Project.

As one of the main differences with Eden Project, the board game counts with 9 dynamic maps, meaning that the player can organize the world map to discretion, making worlds of different sizes or land type order (for example, 4 maps are enough for a quick match but 6 are suitable for a normal match), as well as placing the destinations (cities, shelters, etc) in different places. Basically, before starting a match, the players will have to design the world map.

Summarizing, in Eden Project Battlefield you can:

* Get experience and raise levels

* Use many kinds of magic and weapons

* Use a Hero and organize your own army

* Explore the world

* Buy, sell and find many kinds of items

* Fight against monsters and other players

* Shape your Hero’s skills

* Complete missions of different levels of relevance

* Create a story as the game is played

* Design the world map to fit your needs (time, space, etc)

* Save your game and extend it undefinitedly

The basic components for the game are: 1 game manual, 9 world maps (with different elementalities), 1 battle map, 1 battle roulette, 108 monster cards, 7 Player sheets (Data sheet), 4 Army Sheets, 8 Player Sheet counters, 14 Hero counters (2 for each Hero), 5 dice and 1 battle die.
