COURSE DESCRIPTION & OBJECTIVES
This course is an introduction to the use of technology in an educational setting. Instructional uses of technology will be explored and tied to current theories of learning to help you make decisions about how to effectively integrate technology across content areas. Students will learn to use a variety of technological applications to support teaching and learning.

During this course, each student will demonstrate their progress toward becoming proficient in these areas:

• Develop an understanding of technology operations and concepts.
• Continual growth in technology knowledge and skills to stay abreast of current and emerging technologies.
• Plan and design effective learning environments and experiences supported by technology.
• Identify and locate technology resources and evaluate them for accuracy and suitability.
• Promote safe and healthy use of technology resources.
