An Interactive Exhibit of Tools and Case StudiesPlease join us at the Technology Fair for interactive exhibits, demonstrations, and mini-trainings at the Doubletree Hotel in Tucson on Wednesday evening, May 6th, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. The Fair will include a social reception, with light refreshments. The exhibits will feature 15 minute demonstrations or interactive discussions focusing on an innovative application of technology to ECR programs; many will offer specific skill-building opportunities or demonstrations of the application of new tools to a particular ECR context. Each presentation will be offered at three separate times so that attendees can participate in as many as six different presentations during the course of the event.Call for Exhibit ProposalsIf you have a project, program or exhibit you would be interested in presenting at the Wednesday evening Technology Fair, please fill out the Technology Fair Application by April 1st for Steering Committee consideration. We will respond proposals the week of April 6th.Proposal GuidelinesWe invite you to propose a project, program, case study or exhibit for presentation during the Technology Fair. All information and services exhibited must be directly related to the application of technology to the field of environmental conflict resolution. Applicants will be selected to showcase innovation and diversity of technologies applied to ECR processes. If you are proposing a case study, keep in mind that some case studies may be showcased along with exhibitors at the interactive Technology Fair while others may be showcased later in the planning sessions.
The Technology Fair will be held concurrent with, and in the same ballroom as, the opening reception for the Technology in ECR strategic planning session. A limited number of 6' tabletop educational exhibit spaces will be available for the Technology Fair. All rules and regulations established by the Doubletree Hotel Tucson at Reid Park governing exhibits on their property must be adhered to at all times. Application: You can apply here. Please submit your application online by April 1, 2009. We will respond to applicants the week of April 6th. Exhibit Date/Time: Wednesday, May 6, 2009 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. (Welcome address will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the same ballroom. Expect to continue informal conversations around the exhibits, and then tear down following welcoming remarks.) What will be provided: Tabletop exhibit includes one 6' draped and skirted table, with two chairs and a small sign with the name of the exhibitor. The exhibit area will be set up at all times throughout the conference in a convenient room adjacent to the registration area. Electricity will be provided. Any additional items required, must be arranged and paid for by the individual exhibitor directly with the Doubletree Hotel Tucson at Reid Park. What you will need to provide for yourself: Any presentation items needed such as computer, monitor or projection system, and/or alternate display. Interactive Exhibits & Case Studies: Each exhibit/case study should prepare a 15 minute interactive presentation to illustrate the innovative nature of use of technology to improve some aspect of ECR, and to teach some fundamental skill related to the application of tools to an ECR problem. Each exhibit/case study will be presented 3 times with 20 minute breaks between presentations. Chairs will be available for observers to sit during the interactive sessions. Staffing: Exhibitors do not have to staff their tables at all times, however it is recommended that staffers be present in the ballroom for the duration of the Technology Fair. Security will not be provided. Set-up: Wednesday, May 6, 2008 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Tear-down: Wednesday, May 6, 2008 approximately 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. (Once most people have cleared room.) Exhibit Personnel: At least one exhibitor must be registered as an attendee of the strategic planning session. Exhibit Installation: Information regarding set-up and dismantle of your exhibit will be sent to you with your acceptance/approval letter, along with your tabletop number assignment. The Technology Fair planner will designate all space assignments. Audiovisual equipment or other technical requirements must be secured for in advance and paid for by the exhibitor directly to the hotel. Materials Storage: The hotel does not have storage space for crates. Boxes may be shipped and stored up to 3 days in advance of the conference.
