I have been practicing anusara yoga since 2004 when I lived in Washington DC near the Willow Street Yoga Studio. I learned so much there, especially from Joe Miller. I believe that this practice keeps all my muscles, the tiniest and the largest, strong, that it helps protect me from hurting myself by maintaining flexibility, that it maintains more subtle and sensitive systems that we don't fully understand yet, and that it gives my mind a refuge from my typical busy-ness.

There is no substitute for a good teacher, especially for beginners to yoga. But when I practice at home I really like Seane Corn's Yoga Sanctuary 2-CD set. I also use the yoga journal's pose site for ideas. It's very well organized.
