A project by Essex Community Players to convert the Essex Memorial Hall Garage into a storage facility for ECP's theater inventory now housed on the 3rd floor of Essex Memorial Hall and a theater shop for ECP productions.
News Flash! We got it done! There was a lot of stuff to move (and throw out) from the third floor of Essex Memorial Hall, but it is all now is stored in our garage. We added shelves for the props, rods to hang the costumes and stacked the furniture. We even rearranged the first floor so we can access the flats and platforms.
Don MacKechnie, Whit Franzheim, and Art Kilmer are worthy of great praise for their efforts. We also had valuable help from John Murray, Bill Bickford and Andy Crocker.
Cindy MacKechnie, Nan Murat and the Holcomb family had sorted and organized the costumes.

Since the move-in we have continued to provide more efficient storage on the 1st floor by rearranging the platforms and flats and hanging up the scaffolding.
While the props, furniture and costumes are now on the 2nd floor we must sort and organize all of it so we know what we have and can find it. Check our schedules for how you can help!

Essex Community Players (ECP) performs its theatrical productions at Essex Memorial Hall and had stored its inventory of costumes, props and furniture on the third floor of the Hall. After signing a lease with the Town of Essex for the use of the adjoining garage ECP has completed rennovations to that facility to accommodate its theater inventory and preserve it for years to come.
Such a major undertaking has taken the support and participation of the "ECP Family" and the Essex Community. Join us during the next weeks as we continue to build, sort and reorganize. The projects, dates, contacts and other information can be found on the web pages on the left.

We are scheduling additional work days as the weather permits (Spring?!). See "Schedule of Events" for tasks and projects where you can help.
