Welcome, Eco Friends!

Dear Friends,

We are Imani Shabazz and Phim Her, students enrolled in a SUNY ESF course called Global Environment. We are currently conducting a research project in relation to ecological footprints and would greatly appreciate it if you could take our survey located here.

Our project, The Link Between Ecological Footprints and Income Levels, will evaluate the data from our survey to understand whether or not income levels have a direct influence on people’s ecological footprints.

Ecological footprints are described by Weidman, Minx, Barrett, and Wackernagel as the measure of human demand on nature’s resources in their article Allocating Ecological Footprints To Final Consumption Categories With Input-Output Analysis (2005). These resources include everyday goods such as water and the meat on your plate.

We are interested in this subject because the human race is a dominant species on earth. Therefore, our ecological footprints have a major impact on the resources that we share with other animals and plants.

Please follow the link listed above to find out how your lifestyle affects our earth.

Thank you,

Imani Shabazz and Phim Her
