About
Economic psychology is an important component of research in Irish Universities with
relevant projects ongoing in University College Dublin, Trinity College Dublin, National
University of Ireland Maynooth (NUIM), University of Limerick and National University
of Ireland Galway (NUIG). Scholars in Ireland are actively exploring the economics and
psychology of suicide, contingent valuation methodology, identity and economics and
several other relevant topics.
Dr. Liam Delaney is Ireland's country representative for the International Association for
Research in Economic Psychology (IAREP). If you are working in Ireland and interested
in getting involved with the international IAREP network, please contact Dr. Delaney. This
is a very exciting area of inquiry and IAREP is a vibrant group who, among other things,
publish a leading journal in this area (Journal of Economic Psychology), host a major
international conference each year and also maintain a very useful email message list.
Details of last year's conference organised by Economic Psychology Ireland are
available here. The abstracts from the conference are available here. |
