HOT WATER HEATER ANODE. HOT WATER AIR HEATER.
Hot Water Heater Anode
water heater
- An appliance for supplying hot water for purposes other than space heating or pool heating.
- a heater and storage tank to supply heated water
- Water heating is a thermodynamic process using an energy source to heat water above its initial temperature. Typical domestic uses of hot water are for cooking, cleaning, bathing, and space heating. In industry, both hot water and water heated to steam have many uses.
anode
- the negatively charged terminal of a voltaic cell or storage battery that supplies current
- The positively charged electrode by which the electrons leave a device
- a positively charged electrode by which electrons leave an electrical device
- The negatively charged electrode of a device supplying current such as a primary cell
- An anode is an electrode through which electric current flows into a polarized electrical device. Mnemonic: ACID (Anode Current Into Device).
hot
- Feeling or producing an uncomfortable sensation of heat
- extended meanings; especially of psychological heat; marked by intensity or vehemence especially of passion or enthusiasm; "a hot temper"; "a hot topic"; "a hot new book"; "a hot love affair"; "a hot argument"
- Having a high degree of heat or a high temperature
- (of food or drink) Prepared by heating and served without cooling
- used of physical heat; having a high or higher than desirable temperature or giving off heat or feeling or causing a sensation of heat or burning; "hot stove"; "hot water"; "a hot August day"; "a hot stuffy room"; "she's hot and tired"; "a hot forehead"
- characterized by violent and forceful activity or movement; very intense; "the fighting became hot and heavy"; "a hot engagement"; "a raging battle"; "the river became a raging torrent"
Anode attached to upper bus plate
The anode is attached to the upper bus plate. Note that it comes down through the hole cut out in the mylar (from earlier pictures). The lower inner bus plate, to which the cathodes are attached, will be raised up and attached to the lower outer bus plate with screws. The inner and outer electrodes will be separated by the hat insulator. The lower and upper bus plates are separated by the mylar insulation sheets.
Synthesizing high-capacity anode materials
Argonne chemist Junbing Yan uses a fluidized bed chemical vapor deposition process to synthesize high-capacity anode materials for lithium-ion batteries. 29663D21
