Our Back Story.  This page will tell you the basics about us:

WHO - ECCERE is a small Boston company selling the remaining inventory of Oriac Design, an internet and catalog retailer which tried to compete with the likes of Hive Modern, Design Within Reach, Topdeq, and Unicahome.   Oriac Design was the US arm of CAIRO AG, a European internet and catalog retailer that still operates websites in France, Germany, and China.

WHAT - The range of products available to you include:  indoor and outdoor furniture; office chairs and furniture; accessories for your kitchen, bath, desk, and closet; indoor and outdoor lighting; carpets and floor coverings; fixed and mobile storage units; even doorbell push buttons and stainless steel house numbers.

We are offering items from a large number of premium brands including: Alessi, Angela Adams, Artemide, Belux, Blomus, Cascando, David Design, Desalto, Driade, Emform, Fatboy, FSB, Helit, Heller, Iittala, Kartell, Klenk Collection, Lapalma, Luceplan, Magis, Mox, Nanimarquina, Nube Italia, Radius Design, Reisenthel, Rexite, Side by Side, Sitag, Spore, Stelton, Toulemonde Bochart, 24Seven, Vipp, Vitra, Wogg, Woodnotes, and Zack.

Our stock is limited to what Oriac had at the time they shut down.  In many cases, there are only one or two of a given item remaining.  In most cases, our listings identify when an item is the last one available.  Please tell us if you are seeking more than one of a particular item.

We have access to other products as well, primarily consumer electronics, A/V and home theater furniture, and even automotive parts.  Just ask, and maybe we can source it for you.

WHERE - We are as close as your computer.  Our business office is in Boston, Massachusetts.  Our warehouse is located in the Boston suburb of Dedham, Massachusetts.  We ship the vast majority of purchases via Federal Express Ground, Home Delivery, or FedEx Freight.  We do allow and encourage local purchasers or Boston visitors to pickup items at our warehouse.

WHEN - With this website, you can browse the inventory 24/7.  We conduct and finalize sales via e-mail or the rare phone call.  As long as you can see this website, there is still something left to buy.  We try to keep the listings as up-to-date as possible.

WHY - Buying Oriac's inventory was a great way for ECCERE's owners to pick up a lot of items that they had wanted for their own home.  The rest we offer to you at a discount.  Our aim is to provide you with the lowest delivered pricing on the market.

HOW - If you see something that you like in the pages that follow, send an e-mail to eccere@gmail.com to get a delivered price or arrange local pickup.  If the delivered price in our reply is OK, you can pay us via PayPal to ship the item to you, or we can hold it for pickup at our warehouse.  PayPal accepts credit/debit cards or cash, and you DO NOT have to join PayPal to complete your purchase.  For your security (and ours), we are a verified PayPal merchant. 

Warehouse pickups are by appointment, typically between 3 to 7PM weekdays.  (Other times and days may be possible if necessary.)  We prefer cash at the warehouse, but can do credit card transactions on the spot via PayPal if you bring your smartphone.
