The Big House

November 1, 2009 - November 1, 2005

This sunny morning makes me recall another at Bahía Inglesa the past August when we were returning from San Pedro de Atacama. I yearn for being with you there again strolling hand in hand by the gleeful bank street, sharing the sentiment of profound peace, realization and joy in the sunshine.

The championships of taka-taka already started in Guanaqueros, since the seashore season –as we call the long summertime period starting on November the first– began today with celebrations in Viña del Mar, Mirasol, Zapallar, Papudo and everywhere in the Central Region and in the North; thus, it is just you who is lacking for completing the brilliant picture. Come to revive our happy time of love, peace, adventures and SpiriXual unity, and to forget all the pains and sorrows in this happy copy of Eden. I wait for you anxiously, yearning for having the joy of your presence, and for us to travel to Frutillar, Lake Emerald, Bellavista (Lake Llanquihue), Guanaqueros, and especially to the Elqui Valley to get all the blessings under the whirling arm of the Milky Way.

I call you my “lucero”, and you know what it means. This week Mars has reached its greatest proximity to the planet Earth –it is half of its normal distance– and you could not believe how resplendent it is. It seems more a reddish balloon than a planet; it appears early at twilight and glitters during the evening like a plane approaching, and then it lingers for long in the middle of the sky in front of the glass wall of my study room (where I practically live!) and it is you giving me sweet companionship, radiating sweetness and loving promises at night. Normally the lucero is Venus but for some time now is being Mars. Due to the difference of time between Karviná and Santiago we cannot see it simultaneously; you are already sleeping but I am sending to you by the lucero my loving waves to watch your sleep and to be in your dreams.

Today –All Saints' Day– in Santiago one million people went to the different cemeteries, to remember and to honor their dead with flowers and prayers. I do not want to lay in any cemetery but in the hearts of those who will love me beyond my death, and I would like to see them strolling by the shore in Bahía Inglesa, where I want to rest forever in the glittery panorama, or in the magical Salar de Tara (Paso Jama), Elqui Valley, La Silla, Chungará, Mirasol, Ralún or wherever I was immensely happy with you. We will be together there sharing our love for eternity!

In this shiny season my shrine in the kitchen dazzles with its splendor that is YOU, and with love and reverence I kiss you every morning starting my day. I keep in the double plated frame your photo shot at Panimávida and the other in Bellavista (Lake Llanquihue), representing two great milestones of our adventures, two stages very different in many senses, but just one in my faithful and happy love for you. Then, as you say in your letter this week, it is only as if we were in another room of a very big house and had to cross a long corridor before entering the common room. This very big house is the Universe that put as together in a miracle, still lasting and revered by me at the kitchen’s shrine. I cherish you in the profundity of my soul as my most precious insightfulness.
