Many users have successfully setup Easy Lap Counter and are using it with their tracks.

Thomas Hasch writes, "I am using it on our backyard RC Rally track. We live in Hawaii - so most "Racedays" are during bright sunny days. I am using a cheap Logitech camera. By tweaking the camera settings via the Easy Lap Counter interface I can compensate for the bright conditions. ... I tried two cars one blue (Subaru blue) and a black car. Worked like a charm. The only time a ran into a timing error was during a day when the clouds moved very fast and we had sun-clouds-sun-clouds every 5
minutes. I moved the camera into an area with permanent shade and the problem was solved. When racing during sunset I simply re-calibrate the cars' color every 15-30 minutes to compensate for the changing light conditions."
