East-West music group is inspired by the idea of juxtaposing various cultural and music traditions that is essential for today’s globalized world. Each musician in the group represents particular music tradition, however, every time we play together we discover how much we share. And this is not surprising because music is an adequate reflection of people’s thoughts and feelings, which are universal in all parts of the globe. When music sounds no translation is needed, and no matter what particular melodies, scales, rhythms or instruments are used, it is being understood and appreciated by people of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Music goes directly from hearts to hearts bringing together cultures and nations. In this sense, music is capable to do much more than hundreds of politicians.

We enjoy playing together. Our repertoire features variety of styles, genres and instruments coming from the music traditions of the Middle East, Central Asia, America and Europe.
