Remodel

Objectives: The Eastside Friends Meetinghouse recently completed a major remodel.  One objective was to create separate spaces that are suitable for classrooms or conferences so that children's meeting can use the space to provide a variety of learning experiences appropriate for children of different ages.  A second objective was to expand the space adjacent to the kitchen so that meals and snacks can be served conveniently.   Another objective was to enable handicap access to the building including the second floor and to the restrooms.

Schedule: Remodeling started in the summer of 2009 and was completed in the spring of 2010.

Vision: One thing that has not change is the serenity created by the suburban wooded setting and rustic construction of our meeting house.  We expect that the Eastside Friends meetinghouse will provide an ideal setting for reflective worship and spiritual growth for members and attenders, as well as a choice location for retreats, lectures, and conferences.
