Welcome to the East Park Community Association Web Site.  For those of you who weren’t aware that we had a Community Association on East Park let us start by telling you a little about ourselves; we formed in November 1997 to try and convert the old boxing club on the estate into a community centre for local people, after several months of negotiations with Wolverhampton Council they agreed to lease us the building for a 

peppercorn rent

    A feasibility study report funded by DEEP and our own, later, independent structural report found that the building would need a great deal of money spending on it to make it safe and habitable, so much so that the building has now been demolished and is used for a parking facility at the school.  We are still working towards finding a suitable building on the estate; meanwhile we arrange trips and outings at reduced prices that are open to everyone who attends our meetings.  These trips are funded by our Summer raffle each July and Christmas raffle in December, along with any money we can make at the annual Wolvestock event in the East Park.
