Apple Day, originally conceived by Common Ground, is an ever-popular annual event organised by the East London Organic Gardeners (ELOG) and is coming up on Saturday 8th October from 11- 4pm in the glorious gardens of the Vestry House Museum.
It’s an event for all the family and is a celebration of everything to do with locally home-grown apples. There will be apple juice pressing, apples & organic produce for sale, apple-bobbing, competitions for the longest peel, talks on everything you didn’t know about apples, heritage apple trees for sale and an array of home-made cakes, teas, locally made jam and chutneys on sale and special activities for the children.
Last year, the sun shone and around 1,000 people came to enjoy the day
This year the sun will shine again so come along and join the fun!
