1. Student(s) may perform a song individually or in groups of 2. A performance of a larger group will not be graded.

2. Use of electric or bass guitars for performances is optional, no extra points are given.

3. Groups 1 – 2 (Beginners and Intermediate level) will perform composer’s/folk/your own song - 100% (actual number of points entered to the WebGrader will be calculated according to the received %%)

Requirements:

• Title - 5%
  

• Author(s) - 5%
  

• The main part (verses, refrains, etc.) - 20%
  

• Ending/conclusion - 10%
  

• Before the performance student must present the song (printed copy) to the teacher written as a notation or chord progression, or tablature (10 pts); markings such as Intro, Verse, Refrain and Ending must be included 10%
  

• Performance must match printed music 10%
• Performance quality - 20%

• A song must contain at least one element of the current Unit - 10%
  

• Improvisation is optional (extra points are possible).

4. Group 3 (Advanced level) will perform Author’s/folk/own song - 100% (actual number of points entered to the WebGrader will be calculated according to the received %%)

Requirements:

• Title - 5%
  

• Introduction - 10%
  

• The main part (verses, refrains, etc.) - 15%
  

• Ending/conclusion - 10%
  

• Before the performance student must present the song (printed copy) to the teacher written as a notation or chord progression or tablature (10 pts); markings such as Intro, Verse, Refrain and Ending must be included - 10%

• Performance quality - 20%

5. Singing is optional in Guitar class: extra points are possible.
