The Eastern Shore Stamp Club, based out of Salisbury, Maryland, is dedicated to the exciting hobby of stamp collecting, also known as philately. The club is also a chapter of the American Philatelic Society, a national organization for stamp collectors.
The club meets the second Wednesday of every month from 6:30-9 p.m. at the Wicomico Public Library's branch inside the Centre at Salisbury mall in Salisbury The Centre branch is located across from Chuck E. Cheese's on the north end of the mall. Beginners, intermediate or advance collectors....anyone interested in philately, postal history, or both, is welcome to join us! Whether you want to buy, sell or trade stamps, learn more about the hobby, or simply want to enjoy fellowship with other collectors, there's something of interest for everybody.
The club also hosts an annual stamp show and bourse. Our next stamp show will be held Sunday, May 6, 2012, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., at American Legion Post #64, 1109 American Legion Drive, Salisbury, MD. Admission is FREE. There will be exhibits and displays as well as approximately half a dozen dealers present. Refreshments will also be available for sale.
