Internet Safety PSA Movie

Essential parts of the Internet Safety PSA movie:
  • 60 seconds or less
  • tag line with a powerful message
  • should focus on only one Internet safety topic
  • should have a variety of camera shots and/or angles 
Process checklist for PSA movie production, export, and reflection:
  1. Choose topic and audience.
  2. Create storyboard and get approved by teacher.
  3. Gather props, get approval for location before shooting video.
  4. Get camera, tripod, microphone to shoot video from teacher.
  5. Shoot video in accordance with your storyboard.  Remember to stick to your storyboard plan. If you must change your plan because of unforeseen circumstances, check with your teacher.
  6. Save the last 10 minutes of class to import video to iMovie even if you are not finished shooting all of your video at the end of the period.
  7. Edit your movie with your storyboard at hand. Add titles, audio, transitions as needed.
  8. Export your video to Quicktime using iMovie's Share menu:
    1. Share -> Export using QuickTime ->
    2. Use default settings to save to desktop as in the pictures below.
    3. Save to your USB if available and let teacher know you are finished.
