June, 2009 – July, 2010:-Postdoctoral research fellow at UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education. Research in hydroinformatics, computational intelligence, water resources engineering, hydrological modeling, uncertainty and risk analysis, global and evolutionary optimization, non-linear dynamics and chaos theory.

November, 1996 – October, 2000:-Hydrologist engineer at Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology, Kathmandu, Nepal.The major work task included hydrological data analysis and processing, hydrological database management, hydrometric stations network design and monitoring,hydrological modelling. The involvement in NISP project funded by World bank (1988-2000) for design, monitoring and supervision of civil structure of more than 50 newly established hydrometric stations in the western part of the country.

June, 1996 – November, 1996:- Design Engineer in Deta Consultant, Kathmandu, Nepal. The major work task included design and estimate of water supply and sanitation project, building structures, cinema hall, campus facilities etc.

April, 1991– May, 1992:- Junior civil engineer (Overseer) in CTEVT (council for technical education and vocational training).The major work task included design and estimate of vocational training complexes in the different parts of the country.
