After cancelling the annual Calder Sulin 10km event, DAC has been considering alternate race ideas which would not cause extra congestion around the stadia. DAC is proud to announce that it will co-host a brand new running and walking event with Riverside Trail. The new concept is a route along the beach with 3 distances starting from Ballito 23km, from Beach Bums at Casuarina Beach 15km, and from Umdloti 6km to Umhlanga on Sunday 25 October 2015. The new event will, somewhat, cheekily be known as 'The BUMMER' and is derived from the start being Ballito and finish at Umhlanga, as well as the Beach Bums landmark where the 15km race will start. There is something for everyone from serious athlete to casual walker. Everyone will be able to enjoy our beautiful Indian Ocean coastline. If you are able to help on the day or are able to arrange lucky prizes, please contact the Club. Entries are now being accepted on www.roag.co.za updated18 September 2015

A group of DAC members will be participating in the 6 hour (6pm to midnight) circuit race being held near the Oval in Pietermaritzburg on Wednesday 23 September. For more information go to www.100cc.co.za or contact the Club.
