Dumbarton Sub Aqua Club

Who we are

Who are we?

We are a small club of some 18 members to date and we are part of the Scottish Sub Aqua Club. We are an enthusiastic and friendly group who enjoy diving in and around the West coast of Scotland. We welcome new members and are actively seeking to increase our membership from the local community. All are welcome!

Our aims and objectives

The objective of the club as an amateur organisation is to encourage participation in underwater activities

within our relaxed and friendly setting. The club provides facilities and courses in the underwater environment to develop better and safer diving, supported by our experienced instructors.

What do we do?

At our club nights in the pool, we train all new members to Sport Diver grade and above and all new members are encouraged to learn to dive at their own pace.

We dive locally every Sunday which involves meeting in Arrochar at 9.30am when we select where we want to dive. We visit a variety of well known dive sites around Loch Fyne, Loch Long, Loch Goil, etc. Trips further afield are undertaken each year to a variety of other destinations including Oban, St Abbs and a foreign trip!
