Welcome to the Higher Education Dual Career Network (HEDCN) website.
The Higher Education Dual Career Network (HEDCN) is an informal network of individuals working at institutions of higher education around the world on issues related to faculty and/or staff dual career recruitment. Our current member institutions, include universities not only from the United States, but also from Canada and Germany. Joining the HEDCN is free. Please click here for the membership form.
What is a dual career program?
In order to be more competitve, many higher education institutions have created dual career programs to enhance their ability to recruit and retain faculty and staff who must relocate to accept a position at their institution. These programs have been designed to assist the accompanying spouse or partner in identifying career opportunities. Click here for a list of universities and colleges that provide dual career services.
Whether you want to join HEDCN, need resources, or looking to start a program, we want to help.
