The Conceptual Business Solution
This software business solution (Transportation Management System) is a conceptual prototype and extends the standard configuration of Navision / Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Dynamics 365 Business Central by the functions for master data control, delivery orders processing, optimal allocation its by vehicles, calculation of planned delivery costs and accounting actual data of execution. This allows you to reduce the current delivery costs and to rise a enterprise effectiveness due to the more economical use of transport resources (cars, drivers, fuel), accelerate the planning and accounting procedures, increase the productivity and quality of work of administrative and operational staff, and, as a result, increase the loyalty of customers, employees and stakeholders of the enterprise.
On the one hand it's a ready program code for Classic Client, on the other - a set of ideas for the development of customized business solutions. And it is the prototype (start point) for transferring the data structures, business logic and C/SIDE+C/AL codebase to RoleTailored Client or Extensions in AL technology.
Master Data
Driver and vehicle master data store personal and technical information: about driver’s licenses, maximum payloads of vehicles, their maximum payloads, data from technical passports, etc.
The master data extend Resources of the standard code base of NAV/BC.
Flights & Delivery Journal
To plan and post flights data, a flight card and delivery journal and several related forms of a user interface are provided. Through it, a records are kept of plan and actually time and distance traveled, payload transported, consumed fuel, etc.
The joint use of these two data structures - master data and journal, opens up possibilities for statistical analysis and take decisions regarding the optimization of resources used: whether it is necessary to buy additional or better to sell some of them, and what drivers, cars, shipment agents and etc. are more or less preferred.
Also, the statistical processing of the data will allow you to better control costs and better manage pricing on service delivery.
In addition, you will be able to solve a task of transport asset management - to plan maintenance and technical inspections of vehicles, to control the admission of drivers to drive vehicles in accordance with their licenses and results of driving commissions.
The Flights extend standard code base of NAV/BC - Jobs, Job Tasks and Job Journals (or Resource Journal as a variant).
