All these pages are selected from Google's templates - I don't have much option with them once selected - I just type. The same occurs with the pictures - I have a choice of three sizes - luckily, these render full size when you, the viewer (whoever you are) clicks on it. Neither is there a spellcheck - which is probably obvious to you? The links to other pages can be found at the bottom of this page (no facility for bookmarks!)
Anyway, we finished off the day with a walk to the local Thai Restaurant, which was nice and then an hour catching up on this - after sending plague girl off to bed (she had actually found someone online in England to talk to on Messenger!!!!)
We have plans for today, somewhat similar to yesterday.
So we went on a drive through the Connecticut countryside, which was quite pleasant. The interstate highways tend to be a bit boring and very tree-lined but the back roads are often just as quick and whilst tree-lined just the same, are interestingly tree-lined. We had lunch at the Vannila Bean Cafe which is on a crossroads somewhere. My fish burger was interesting but the service was strange, each of us being brought (or in Sharon's case - given) ours at a different time to each other! We came back to the house and, it being so very very warm, had half an hour in the pool. Then we went to the cinema.
This was excting. We went to see Pirates of the Caribbean II and (see above) it was hot hot hot as we got there. Thank goodness for A/C. We saw 1.75 of PotCII - before the fire alarm went off. No one seemed too alarmed (more concerned that we'd missed the vinegar stoke actually) and began to form an orderly exit. Those at the front were unlucky enough to have already exited before the attendants' came though shouting "there is no fire - don't worry - assemble in the foyer!". Gail suggested that 'the storm' (???!!@#$) may have triggered the lightening conductor! And . . . sure enough when we got to the foyer, it was siling down - huge buckets of rain, but no change in the heat!! Large sheets (and forks) of lightening. Wonderful. See tomorrow for before and after pics!
So once again, a day didn't go to plan! But enjoyable nevetheless. Gail is currently reading the Skinhead Hamlet to us (web address when I get it)
