How to set up your Drupal environment

Drupal 6.12 is downloadable here.


Use your 7-Zip File Manager to locate and unzip your downloaded drupal-6.12.tar.gz file.  


Unzipping the gz formatted file yields the tar formatted file.  Go ahead and unzip the drupal-6.12.tar file to the c:\wamp\www\ location on your hard drive.


You'll need to specify the C:\wamp\www\ location.  Go ahead and make it so.


After the Drupal files are fully extracted, you should see this file structure underneath C:\wamp\www.


Now you can proceed with downloading Eclipse.
