Dr. Paul A. Watters is a computer security researcher and practitioner, and active member of the Anti-Phishing Working Group

His mission is to build intelligence capability to detect or prevent cybercriminal acts or breaches of civil law. 

He has developed techniques in cybercrime attribution, profiling, and forensics, using data from phishing e-mails and websites, malicious code of various kinds, compromised hosts and P2P networks.  Dr. Watters continues to be fascinated by the critical role of the "human factor" in sociotechnical systems.

He has published a number of best-selling professional reference books as well as scientific and research publications.

His work has been cited 462 times and he has received research income of $1.345m since 2003.
