DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL SETS:
I am a first generation Singaporean of Indian origin  who got the ticket to enter this blue planet as  Albert Einstein made his exit. I spent my childhood at Redhill, Singapore  and I trace my ancestry to the vicinity of the City of the Endless Serpent in God's Own Country , fringed with emerald green palm trees, lagoons and long stretches of golden beaches hugged by the blue waters of the Arabian Sea. During the period December 1973 - June 1976, I served the mandatory National Service with the Singapore Armed Forces at the 1st Battalion Singapore Infantry Regiment (1SIR). After that for a period of 12 years, I pursued my dreams in Aerospace through India and USA before returning home to Singapore for a 21 year academic career at Nanyang Technological University. Since July 2010 I am on the faculty at IIT Gandhinagar, India. Besides the daily grind, I also enjoy Literature, World History, Philosophy (particularly Ayn Rand), Popular Science, Chess, Go,Photography, New Age Music of Kitaro and Fusion, IT, Travel and Philately.
