I hope you'll really consider joining our group to do something great this Maymester for many, many children in the Dominican Republic. This is an opportunity to really set a tone for your life as a person who seeks to give to communities, a person who wants adventure and hopes to learn about the many wonderful peoples in this world, and a person who develops skills to make a difference.
I travelled to the orphanage in October 2008. It is a warm, friendly place of hope. It is also a place that needs outside help - it needs you. Your contribution to this project can be enormous.
We're also going to make sure to enjoy this beautiful island while we're there. We'll take a tour of the historic district in Santo Domingo and have one to two days at the beach.
