The Online Catalog lists all the materials in the Dr. Nixon Library collection and allows students to browse for materials and check their account to see the books that are checked out and when they are due. Kid's Catalog looks like the screen below. It is designed for students in the lower grades up to grade four and uses pictures or icons to assist students. It allowes students to easiy search for materials or check MY ACCOUNT to see the materials they have checked out. Library lessons on using Kid's Catalog begin at the end of first grade.
The Online Catalog used by fifth graders (shown below) relies on text instead of pictures and is identical to the online catalog students will use in middle school. Students must have an Acceptable Use Agreement on file to access the online catalog in the library. Click below for remote access.
