Welcome to the DRIVER tutorial!

This tutorial is aimed at people that are developing, managing or working with a repository and would like to connect to the DRIVER network. In a step-by-step tutorial this website will try to supply all the information you need to make sure your repository can and will be part of the DRIVER network. The tutorial presupposes a certain amount of knowledge on  repositories, Open Access and the Driver network. Nonetheless for those interested in the above mentioned topics or in need of a quick brushing up of such knowledge the first part (step 1) of this tutorial will discuss these topics.

A short video has been developed to introduce you to the DRIVER website, infrastructure and services.
More information is available later in this tutorial and from the main DRIVER website www.driver-community.eu

Introduction to DRIVER

For those of you who are interested in setting up a Repository 'DRIVER style' step 2 will be helpful as it provides a lot of information and advice from those who have a vast amount of experience in setting up the repositories currently participating in the Driver network.

Step 3 mainly focuses on the criteria, as described in the Driver guidelines, that need to be met in order to have your repository be part of the Driver network. Step 4 provides you with the possibility of checking whether you meet those criteria by using the Driver Validator and step 5 will provide you information on the registration process and with some final advice.
