Preventative Cleanings
While at home oral maintenance – brushing twice a day, flossing – are imperative to maintaining a healthy mouth, we ask that our patients come to see us regularly for routine cleanings and check-ups so as to detect existing problems and plan an effective approach to regaining and maintaining the healthy smile our patients want.

Gum Therapy
We give a lot of care to our patients’ gum condition and treat any sign of gum disease as soon as it is detected. Periodontal or gum disease often leads to a myriad of health problems if left untreated, including heart disease and other serious conditions. Periodontal disease progresses in stages, the first of which is gingivitis (marked by red, swollen, bleeding gums and sometimes bad breath caused by large amounts of bacteria that attack the tissues in the mouth). If allowed to progress, gingivitis can cause major health problems, bone loss and teeth mobility.

Professional Breath Treatment
Occasional bad breath can be due to pungent foods, dehydration, illness or poor oral hygiene. Chronic bad breath, however, could be an indicator of a more serious underlying problem, such as periodontal disease, which if left untreated can trigger heart disease and other serious conditions. We offer a number of solutions to bad breath including soft tissue treatment and antimicrobial mouthwash.

Root Canal Treatment
When healthy teeth become infected or are damaged, their nerves often die. Often the only way to save such infected teeth is through root canal treatment. During a root canal treatment the diseased dental pulp, which contains the dead nerves, is gently removed and the roots are filled. Then the tooth is sealed with strong, natural looking restoration such as crown or onlay.

TMJ and Bite Therapy
Often, headaches, facial pain, jaw pain and other related discomforts are caused by TMJ, a condition of the temporomandibular joint, or misaligned bite. During our thorough exams, each patient is assessed and customized treatment can be designed to restore balance and comfort. These options may include bite appliance, semi-permanent splints, comprehensive orthodontics, and tooth restorations.
