During the 2008-2009 school year we had the chance to work alongside some great teams of other students. Here are links to some of those game projects:
Attack of the 50ft Robot! is an action/adventure game set in a 1950s B-movie. Unleash your inner robot and destroy everything that stands in your way. Block Breakers is a fast-paced multiplayer arena-action game, where the goal is to knock the other players off the stage by destroying the ground beneath them. Players run around the entirely destructible stage of blocks, frantically collecting energy from energy blocks to activate their character's special ability. Gear is a puzzle/platformer containing hand-drawn animations. The player must use the hero's ability to change his hand into a gear in order to beat the game. The hero will have to swing, ride, swim, and even spin the world in order to get through the ten original levels this game has to offer!Igneous is an action platformer where you play as a tiki totem trying to escape from a raging volcano. By running and jumping, players have to navigate their way through dark caverns, forge raging lava rivers and cross crumbling bridges to make it out of the inferno alive. In Kabloom, play as an elephant trying to bring life back to a dying island by planting, watering and growing new trees. Collect seeds, till dirt patches and water saplings to grow the fruit needed to restore life back to the land. Collect all the fruits to grow the fruit of life and turn the desolate wasteland into a thriving eden! The player takes the role of Max, a small, shadowy monster with the power to SCARE the unsuspecting townsfolk around him. As he scares more people, Max will grow bigger, stronger, and more terrifying. The only thing that can stop him is painful LIGHT -- pools of it from streetlights and piercing beams of it from flashlights. If he can avoid the lights, Max might just get strong enough to resist them and reach the well-lit Town Center... Solar Flare is an action-packed real-time strategy game that pits warring planets against each other in an epic battle for survival.
Tad Studbody is a fast-paced, action-packed 3D sidescrolling brawler. Set in a comic book themed world, players control Tad as he fights off swarms of cutesy robots in his attempts to get back his hair brush. The more Tad fights the stronger he gets and it is up to the player to use that power to stop these robots. Fueled by the energy in his mullet, Tad can unlock powerful attacks as he defeats enemies, eventually releasing all that energy to clear his way. It's a race against the clock to defeat the final boss. Is Tad's mullet enough to get the job done? Or will it all end in a bad hair day? |
