NEWS FLASH
Thanks to everyone who came to Presentation Night on Friday.  A great night was had by all.  Congratulations to all the award winners.

Good luck to our ACT 18 and under players who are playing in Nationals in Canberra.  We will put up the draw for ACT teams shortly.

Volunteers are needed for helping out wiht National 18 and under competition being held in Canberra 10-15 April.  They need people to sell merchandise, be announcers and coordinators and general help ensure the event runs smoothly. If you could donate a couple of hours of your time we would be most appreciative.  Contact Erinna Martin @ Erinna.Martin@act.gov.au.  The tasks do not require water polo expertise and can be taught on the day.

We are currently sorting out come and try sessions and pool pre-season dates for winter competition.  Stay tuned.  if you have emailed we will contact you shortly.

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
Dragon's Water Polo Club has established a new Junior Development Program. The program aims to boost the players striving towards elite water polo development and has components designed for the more recreational player.  We are seeking expression of interest for:
  1. Coaches - these coaches should be at an advanced level.  Details of time commitment can be discussed.  Four coaches are being sought for  - Under 14 Boys, Under 14 Girls, Under 16 Boys and Under 16 Girls.  Guest coaches will also be built into the program.  Information on how these coaches will be supported and rewarded will be discussed with interested people.
  2. Managers - these people help to ensure professional operations. They help with logistics, communications, support coaches and help to be a contact point for each team.  No prior experience is necessary for these roles.  An information package outlining roles and responsibilities can be developed to support these managers.
  3. Coordinator for the Dragons Junior Water Polo Program - this person will help to oversee the program as a whole, they will ensure the coaches and managers are working together effectively and they have the necessary equipment and resources.  This person will play a role across the four junior teams and bring in resources from external that may benefit all.
If you are interested in any of the above roles please contact Vicki Woodburn - President Dragon's Water Polo Club 0410 429 484 or vrw@grapevine.com.au.

More information on the Dragon's Junior Development Program will be distributed to all club members in late April/May.

We are currently looking for sponsors for different aspects of the junior program. Sponsors can help in a wide variety of ways - anybody interested in discussing possible sponsorship please contact Vicki Woodburn  - President Dragon's Water Polo Club 0410 429 484 or vrw@grapevine.com.au.
