Research in the laboratory is focused on understanding the diversity of cell death pathways in various physiological/ patho-physiological conditions. We aim to correlate the changes in the cell death machinery to signal transduction mechanisms using a variety of in vitro (Cancer cells, male germ cells, neuronal cells and pancreatic islet cells) and in vivo (Rat ,Mouse, Hamster) models and explore the clinical implications of our findings.
