Over the past few years, as part of Mole Valley's Arts Alive October festival, we've run orchestral workshops to rehearse and perform larger scale pieces. These have included Mahler's 1st Symphony, Shostakovich's 10th Symphony, Bartók's Concerto for Orchestra, Vaughan William's London Symphony (no. 2) and Holst's Planets Suite. This year we're running an open rehearsal on the evening of Wednesday 6th October 2010 at The Christian Centre, St. Martin's Church RH4 1DW between 7.30 and 9.45pm.The programme will be Schumann's Symphony Nº4 in D minor Op.120 and, if time permits, Brahms Serenade No. 1.
