Volley ball is a sport of control. There are six positions setter, left back, left front, middle back, middle front and Right side. Setter always gets the secound ball. When the opponents server the ball over one of the other players hit the ball to the setter. The setter then sets it up to the middle, left, or right side hitter.
For serving in high school you have to serve it over hand. If your foot steps on the line it is a foot fult. The cort is divided into 6 places. The servers spot is labeled 1, then goes counter clock-wise.
The point of the game is to bump, set, spike it over the net so it is harder for the other team to retrieve. The players always wear knee pads for slideing on the floor. There are special shoes that are flat that you can buy but most use just tennis shoes.
