1.Do you have a brochure or price sheet so I can figure out how much the quilting will cost me? No, not at this time, you can take the size of your quilt length x width and that will be your size of your quilt. Then you take that # and X's by .02 cents. This will give you the price of your longarm quilting service price. (length x width = size) (size x .02 cents = cost) 2.What choices for quilting styles do you offer (pantograph, freehand, custom work, heirloom quilting, binding, etc.?) I offer freehand and I have samples on display in my studio and a sample book to look at to get ideas. 3.Are batting choices available or should you bring your own batting? I have Quilters Dream batting available to purchase. You are welcome to bring your own, as long as it is a good quality batting. 4. Do you supply the thread and what kind do you use? I use Isacord a cotton wrapped poly thread, it is beautiful and nice to use on quilts. I also use Superior threads. You are welcome to bring your own thread, but you have to make sure it is for longarm quilting and you bring enough. 5.How do you want the quilt prepared when I send it to you? The quilt top pressed and threads clipped; quilt back seamed and 6-8 inches longer and wider than the quilt top, the batting also has to be 6-8 inches longer and wider than the quilt top. Put a safety pin at the top of the quilt top and backing to indicate the top vs the bottom. 6. Is there a minimum dollar amount set for small projects? No, I welcome small quilts, because this is a good time for you to see if you like my work. 7. When are appointment times to discuss the quilting? I prefer to meet after 3:00 pm . This seems to work for most people, because they have jobs during the day. Other times can be arranged. 8. What is the turn-around time? About 2 weeks 9. Is there a deposit required when you bring the quilt? No 10. What form of payment do you accept? cash, checks and credit cards through pay pal. 11 What kind of machine do you have? I have a stitch regulated A-1 longarm quilting machine. 12. How should I contact you? You can call and leave a message, or you can email me. 12. Do you mail quilts? Yes, I have a mail order business and you can download an order form and fill it out and send it with your quilt. You can also use this form to drop off your quilts. |
