Mission and PurposeThe Mission and Purpose of the Diocese of Lansing Catholic Committee on Scouting (DOLCCS) is to give guidance, vitality and leadership in the spiritual phase of Scouting to all Catholic Scouts and Scouters of the Diocese. The DOLCCS sees as its mission the constructive use of the program of the Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts USA, Camp Fire USA, and the American Heritage Girls as a viable form of youth ministry with the Catholic youth of our Diocese. The DOLCCS will monitor and provide qualified counselors to administer the Catholic Religious Emblems program as well as oversee the nomination of adult religious awards for the Catholic Church of the Diocese. Recognizing the diversity of religious scouting units within the Diocese, the DOLCCS will help to promote the Religious Emblem program of their faith to all non-Catholic Scouts and Scouters. If you have any questions concerning Religious Emblems programs please contact a member of the DOLCCS. If you would like to be a part of this youth ministry we could use your help. You do not have to have a significant Scouting back ground to serve on the committee, just a desire to help our youth grow in their faith.
