Destruction of Private Property

posted Jan 17, 2012 5:54 AM by David L   [ updated Jan 17, 2012 6:19 PM ]

It has come to DOCS attention that on Monday, January 16th, a few inconsiderate & selfish jackholes damaged private property when they rode their sleds on trails with minimal snow. As a result, the landowner has closed the trail. Please be aware that a portion of Trail C6 will be closed until further notice.

New Automated Trail Grant Program (revised 1/5/12)

posted Dec 8, 2011 7:25 PM by David L   [ updated Jan 5, 2012 10:32 AM ]

As of the 2011/2012 season, Office of Parks,  Recreation & Historic Preservation (OPRHP) requires all NYS snowmobile clubs to enter Phase III data through the Automated Trail Grant Program.

The Automated Trail Grant Program is a web based accounting system supported by OPRHP. The system keeps records of Labor, Equipment Leased or Rented, Equipment Purchase, Signage & Related Materials, Groomer Usage, and Miscellaneous Items.  This is accomplished via data collected and entered into the system by each club throughout the snowmobile season.

To collect data, Labor, Grooming Usage, and Equipment Lease or Rented forms have been created and are available for download on DOCS website www.docsnowriders.com under the Documents / Documents and Forms tab, or printed forms are available and can be picked up during one of our club meetings.

Groomers will be required to log groomer usage on the Attachment E (Groomer Usage) form and submitted at each meeting (if applicable). This will keep the Automated Trail Grant Program’s data current.

Labor data is collected and submitted on the Attachment B (Labor) form. Labor is considered as the actual work done by a club member; work can range from setting GPS trail points to clearing trail ways of debris.

Equipment Lease or Rented data will also be collected and submitted on the Attachment C (Equipment Leased or Rented) form.  Note: The operator name should also appear on the Attachment B Labor form documenting their hours in order to be eligible for reimbursement (list only one person PER entry line).

Please Note: Forms will be collected at each meeting (if applicable). Completed forms can also be scanned and emailed to docsnowridersinc@gmail.com

If you have done any labor for the 2011-2012 snowmobile season please complete the forms and bring them to the next club meeting.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Thank you,

Dave Lunzman
