Dixon Middle School Wins Cleaning Industry Awards
August 1 2011

The Provo City School District was recently honored at the Cleaning Industry Awards Banquet in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dixon Middle School received the prestigious "Best Cleaning Industry Environmental Award" as well as a Green Cleaning Award, and Outstanding Cleaning Worker awards. As a springboard to the Districts "Clean and Healthy Schools Initiative" established in 2010 by Facilities Director Joe Gledhill, Dixon’s custodial crew piloted the new OS1 Cleaning Program this past school year. OS1 is an engineered, science-based cleaning program developed by Salt Lake based ManageMen. Head Custodian, Jeff Hawkins, says "I truly believe that the OS1 program is making our school a healthier, safer, and more comfortable learning environment for our students and teachers. I wholeheartedly endorse this program and look forward to eventually seeing it in all of our schools in Provo School District." For more information on the OS1 cleaning program, please stop by Dixon and talk to Mr. Hawkins or visit www.managemen.com
