I am Daniel Rosenberg.

I need a web page only to the extent that you have sought it.

I am the Daniel Rosenberg who graduated from high school in Berkeley Heights, NJ in 1987, and complained about the salad in my graduation speech. I regret my pettiness, and if it saddened you, I am sorry.

I am the Daniel Rosenberg who graduated from college near Palo Alto, California in 1991. If you were my housemate and I put your bra in the dryer too long, and it shrunk, I am still sorry. If my dog chewed up your wetsuit, I am truly sorry. If I complained about your not paying the phone bill on time, I am sorry; life is short, and there is little point in worrying about trivialities — even if it was a $700 phone bill because of your calls to your girlfriend in Leningrad.

I am the Daniel Rosenberg who was in the post-baccalaureate program in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, around 1996. If my dog Wolfpeach looked bored tied up outside the physics building waiting for me to finish class, I am sorry if her boredom upset you. I think she enjoyed basking in the sun and never complained about it, and it was better than locking her up in the house, and I think you may have anthropomorphized her canine expression. Nevertheless, I am sorry for you.

I am the Daniel Rosenberg who finished medical school in Rochester, New York in 2000. My favorite thing about Rochester was Mount Hope Cemetery, a beautiful, turn of the century resting place — among them Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass. If you were the amiable landlord who rented out the second story of your house to me, I am sorry my dog kept leaping through the window screens, and I hope my replacements proved sufficient.

I am the Daniel Rosenberg who finished my family medicine residency in Portland, Oregon in 2003. I have no sorrows about that, except Wolfpeach's passing months before my graduation at a ripe, old, happy age. I am a family physician working in Northeast Portland, and I am happily married with a sweet wife, a cute daughter, and two very nice dogs.

I like writing, running, acoustic guitar, the Flaming Lips,  college radio, international medicine, shave biopsies, and being a wet blanket for what I feel are pointless and unimportant controversies (circumcision, water fluoridation, religion, my yard).

If you were looking for me, you found me. You can send me electronic mail at dmr001 followed by an 'at' sign followed by gmail dot com.
