And for all classes, NO partner is required!

Turnverein Drop-In Classes

Fridays 7pm 

Always introductory and taught at the level of the majority of the class

• Beginner @ the Turnverein (click for directions) - FREE
• Intermediate @ the Turnverein (click for directions) - $5

Pros: A great way to try out Lindy Hop out (the beginner lesson is always FREE), no partner required, venue has a dance immediately following the lesson, a rotating teams of teachers and styles.
Cons: Classes are drop-in so there are always more first time dancers, thereby a slower learning pace & curve.

Colorado Free University Classes

Mondays 7pm

A 4-week focused purpose and direction in each class

Focused on teaching the Basic (a.k.a. the Swingout) and approximately 15 fundamental, building-block movements used in Lindy Hop. Attention is given to defining your social dancing skills and enhancing your fun when dancing TO the music and dancing WITH your partner. Each week you'll refine your Lead or Follow skills through fun, easily executable and improvisational movements. You'll strengthen, naturally the tools and framework YOU need to grow your fun of the dance.

If you've NEVER taken a dance lesson or if you've had East or West Coast Swing lessons, not Lindy lessons I recommend starting with these classes.

Pros: A smaller and consistent group of students/partners, no partner required, a faster learning curve, scheduled practice/dance time every week, resource sharing (i.e. instructional videos), a better teacher to student ratio, FREE dance at the Denver Turnverein at end of a series.
