Ms. Strasser is active in many acting-related and humanitarian causes. She served as President of L.A.’s Women in Theatre for two years, produced three Equity Waiver Productions, sold her first teleplay, and formed a video production company to produce videos in the areas of women’s health and fitness. Her first, on menopause, was released in 1999. Recently, she produced a CD that features her OLTL castmates, called One Life Many Voices. Money raised from sales has been used to help families devastated along the Gulf Coast by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

She is best known for her performances on Daytime serials. Ms. Strasser created the role of Rachel Davis on Another World , which she played from 1967 to 1972. She is most identifiable to fans as Dorian Cramer Lord on ABC TV's One Life to Live , for which she won a Daytime Emmy Award in 1982 as Best Lead Actress.
