Divas don't get a day off...

I'm 24 years old.   I wasn't supposed to live past the age of two, but I defied gravity, and have had an incredible life.  I have a rare chronic digestive disorder, as well as a height impairment, leaving my height at 3'9"
I have a bachelor's degree in Creative Writing, and am currently working as a youth coordinator for the state Children with Special Health Needs program.  I also work for the Healthy & Ready to Work  National Resource Center.  I work with medical professionals, educators, and families to represent the youth voice in policy change and the health care system.  I am striving to create leadership, and self advocacy among youth with special health needs, and to make the "system" and easier place to grow up in! I'm also hoping to publish an autobiography about what it's like to grow up with a special health need and how to maintain a life of "normalcy" while doing so.  Nothing has come easy for me, but I believe life is too short to let challenges keep you down, and to not pursue your dreams.

On a more personal level, I currently reside in a small town in Maine with my parents, and my little sister who is my best friend, partner in crime and my other half.  The family I love, the small town in Maine, not so much.  I love cities,  Starbucks, musical theater,  fashion, and spending time with my friends.  Ultimately, I really don't know what I want to do with my life.  I have too many interests and not enough time!  For right now, I am just taking it day by day and enjoying the ride.  I love making a difference and public speaking, and I'll go where it takes me.

My name is Mallory Cyr, I'm 24 years old, and I'm just getting started
