5th NC Turkish Festival

It was a sunny April day, where so many people were gathering together at NC State Fairgrounds to enjoy North Carolina Turkish Festival, a celebration of Turkish Cuisine and Culture.

Festival guests had a chance to taste a wide variety of Turkish dishes from world famous Doner kebab to a rich menu of traditional Turkish desserts, the oldest form of coffee drinking to Turkish style tea brewed in a unique way.


 
 

4h NC Turkish Festival

2009 North Carolina Turkish Festival was a great way to celebrate cultural diversity in North Carolina. Now with its new title as “CARY TURKISH DAY” given by Cary Town Council, it is one of the biggest Cultural events in greater Triangle Area. Ever growing attendance that reaches to around 5000 this year promises better Turkish Festivals coming years.

3rd NC Turkish Festival

3rd Annual NC Turkish Festival of 2008 was again a great success. Moving the venue to State Fairgrounds this year has at least tripled the number of participants. The visitors enjoyed a warm welcome from the Silk Road Dance Group and Bluestar Folk Dance Troupe on stage, delicious Turkish food as well as a numerous exhibits of Turkish art, culture and folklore.





 

2nd Turkish Food Festival

2nd Turkish Food Festival attracted a crowd of more than 500 people despite the heavy rain on Sunday, April 15th. Authentic Turkish gyro, kabobs, kofta, wraps, pitas, pies, dolma, borek, baklava, Turkish coffee and Turkish tea were among the items in the festival menu.

The guests enjoyed live Turkish music by Durukan and folk dance shows by Blue Star Dance Troupe while having their food. Bosphorus and Tallulas restaurants and Harmony Mediterranean Market also participated in the festival.
