Director's Message

Attention All Managers:

The use of illegal bats has gotten out of control.  Effective immediately we are instituting a new policy for teams found using illegal bats.

All managers must carry a copy of the list of legal bats published by Little League.

As a manager you are responsible for all bats that are used by your players.  Make sure you check all bats and advise parents that any new bat must be approved by you before it is allowed in the dugout.

In addition, any manager has the right to inspect the opposing team’s bats before the game.

PENALTIES

If a batter is caught using an illegal bat, and it is discovered before the next batter comes to the plate,

the batter using the illegal bat will be out, no runs will score and the manager will be suspended for the next game.  If the bat is discovered after the next batter comes to the plate, the play will stand, but the manager will still be suspended.

A second infraction for the team will result in the manager suspended from the rest of the tournament.

Championship Games:  ALL managers should arrive at least 30 minutes before game time so that ALL bats can be checked by the tournament committee.

Clarification of Pitching Rules For Suspended Games

Clarification of pitching rules in a suspended game:

In a game suspended by darkness, weather or other causes and resumed the following calendar day, the pitcher of record at the time the game was halted may continue to the extent of his/her eligibility provided he/she delivered 40 or less pitches, and subject to each of these conditions:

A. A player may not pitch in more than one game in a day.
B. If the pitcher delivered 20 or less pitches before game was suspended pitcher's pitch count will begin at zero for the continuation of the game.
C. If the pitcher delivered between 21 and 40 pitches before the game was suspended, that pitcher's count will begin with the number of pitches delivered in that game.
D. If a pitcher pitched 20 or less pitches and was removed from the mound for another pitcher, he CANNOT re enter the game.
