Disques Pyrennes is a Franco Iberian record label pressing CDs of interesting classical, world and pop music of unusual and neglected repertoire. It takes its name from the region bordering France and Spain at the base of the Pyrenees Mountains. The spelling is unique and unusual as well and most certainly 'exprès' as they say in Franco Iberian. It was founded in 1999 by French Harmonica virtuoso Roland Valentin Matthieu de Bourbogne...
Artists include American pianists Neil Galanter, Jeremiah Pruitt Poundstone, Harietta Wagram, Spanish pianist Jose Marie Guignols, French vocalist Hélène de Bartholomew and French Harmonica player Roland Valentin Matthieu de Bourbougne. Other releases are planned for next year as well to broaden the spectrum of Disques Pyrennes and include other genres of music.
At present, the disks can be purchased online at various stores such as Amazon.com, iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, eMusic, SnoCap etc. in both CD and mp3 form and also at some music stores in France, Andorra and Spain.
